Merry & BRIGHT

Hello Everyone,
Well today is a card that I really wish you could all see irl, but you would have to wear your sunglasses lol. Lawnscaping Challenge #95 has asked for White on White, and that sent me into a little spin! So after careful consideration this is what I came up with, hope you like it.
I started with a Memory box stencil and used a clear texture paste, while the paste was still wet I sprinkled over some white hologram embossing powder and set it aside for the paste to dry before heat setting the embossing powder. So while waiting I die cut 3 snowflakes from the Lawn Fawn Stitched snowflakes and carefully covered them with Kindy Glitz Crystalina ( similar product to stickles ), I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Snow Day in Memento Gray Flannel ink and clear embossed it, also heat embossed the background.

The card is a standard 5 1/2 in x 4 1/4 in the background is on foam tape and so are the snowflakes.
I then added snow white pearls and a silver and pearl brad to the largest snowflake.
I would like to enter the following challenges
I really struggled to get a photo that really showed you the sparkle in this card, the tube in my daylight lamp died this week and of course I didn't have a spare, so things have been a little dimmer around here ( more than usual ) lol. It is on it's way so can't wait for it to arrive.
Hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting me.

Winter Penguin

Hello Everyone,

Today I have made a winter themed card, and used Lawn Fawn Winter Penguin, Snow Day trees, Stitched snowflakes, Stitched hillside borders and Snow day paper pad.
I am totally in love with Lawn Fawn's cute stamps and matching dies at the moment, and over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge it's Anything goes and they are showcasing Lawn Fawn products, so I just had to join in.
For the penguin, trees and sentiment I stamped them with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, it doesn't show up in the photo, but the outline is bold shiny black ( very dramatic ) and I coloured with copic markers. Just a word of warning, you can't use Versafine ink and copic's together without heat embossing it as it will damage your markers.
I also used my signo white pen for the stripes on the little guys scarf, and a wink of stella clear glitter pen for the hills and snowflakes.
Here is a close up of the penguin. The tag is from the Avery Elle Gift Tags die set, and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Winter Penguin card, Hurry on over the the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog and get your entry in cause the winner gets a $50.00 voucher to spend at Simon Says Stamp.
That's all for today, have a great day everyone.

Baby's First Christmas

Hi Everyone,

I am back today with a project that is way out of my normal comfort zone, I am normally a card maker through and through ( and very traditional at that ) but Lawnscaping challenge blog asked for us to " Count me in " so I thought what can I do that's a little different?

I have used the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag Die and created a Baby's first Christmas bag in non traditional colours. First of all I die cut a tag and used distress ink in spun sugar and shaded lilac for the soft pastel background, then used versamark ink & white hologram embossing powder to add the tiny snowflakes from the LF Winter Penguin set, while I had my heat gun out I also stamp a piece of white cardstock with the ink so I could cut out the number, letters and the LF Stitched Snowflakes.
I coloured the bunny from LF Hello Baby with copic markers, then cut it out with the matching die set. The word baby is from the same set, and the s on the end came from the word twins I just masked off the rest of the word and it worked perfectly, don't you just love it when things just work out !!!
The word Christmas is from the LF Sweet Christmas stamp set. The little cloud is cut out of vellum and inked with the same shaded lilac as is the edges of the Goodie Bag. The bunny and word baby are on foam dots for dimension and I added a white organza bow to finish things off.

I would like to enter this project in the Lawnscaping Challenge #94 Count me in

Thanks for visiting me today. Hope you all enjoyed seeing my project.

Hello Everyone,
Today I have 2 cards to show you, both with the same style of background which is so much fun to do and so simple. I recently purchased some ranger distress specialty stamping paper, they come in a pack of 20 sheets and measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches, they are super smooth surface and feel gorgeous.

My background is down with 3 distress inks and a sponge dauber, the colours used here are tattered rose at the bottom, spun sugar in the middle and shaded lilac at the top. The stamps and dies are from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from stampin up.

For this card I used evergreen bough at the bottom, tumbled glass in the middle and dusty concord at the top. I was really happy with the way these blended on this cardstock. The stamps and dies are Lawn Fawn.
Also if you are wondering my sparkly snowy hillside was done with holographic embossing powder, I have had this forever at the back of my cupboard and just found it again, just goes to show you , you never know what you will find in your stash ! This card looks amazing in real life you can really see all the sparkle and shine.

Hope you all have a great day.

A Wee Snowman

Hi Everyone,

Well Christmas is coming and I thought I would share with you all one of my Christmas creations.
This is a digital image from Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet called My Frosty, Wee Stamps has been one of my all time favourite images and no wonder isn't he adorable!
I have used copic markers and prisma pencils to colour the image, and it was after the image was coloured that I decided he needed a night sky behind him, so I have done that with pencil only for a softer look, also added some cute little lawn fawn snowflake stamp with versamark and white embossing powder. The DP and CS is from Stampin up. The ribbon came from my stash and the snowflake on the ribbon is a punch from fiskars.
This is just a little closer look at Mr Frosty, I forgot to mention that the matching sentiment comes free when you purchase the image. If you love your rubber stamps Wee Stamps do have rubber available Here there are some useful links to suppliers.

How are you going with your Christmas cards? It's such a busy time for everybody.
I hope you enjoyed my snowman card, and would love to hear your comments.
Hope you have a great day.

Hello, I have returned

Hi Everyone,

OMG! That little break turned into an extended time, I don't know how to explain it other than I just couldn't get my act together. What else can I say, I have still been crafting while not blogging and just doing it at a much slower pace. Stopping to smell the roses and all that. I hope some of you out there understand me.

Ok I do have a little card to show you today, which I created with some of my new favourite stamps & dies from Lawn Fawn I am totally in love with the cute critters and adorable dies.
For this card I used Snow Day petite paper pack, Snow Day Stamps & Lawn Cuts. The bunnies are coloured with copics.  I love that you can create a simple card or a beautiful scene.
I hope you like my little bunnies, and I hope to be back soon with more creations to share.

Hugs Cheryl
