Critters in a Snow Storm

Hi There,
Oh my goodness, I have a shaker card today and have you ever put a little toooooo many shaky things in your shaker cards? Well just have a look at this one.....
I think a blizzard is happening he he he. Well the Lawnscaping Challenge blog #97 has this winter theme board to follow, with a great gift certificate from Ellen Hutson.

For my card I have used Lawn Fawn Into the Woods Stamp & Die Set, Stitched hillside borders, the snowflakes from Winter Penguin, Stitched Rectangles from Simon Says Stamp, and the tree die is from Memory Box I just cut some of the leaves off to make it look more like winter. I used distress inks in tumbled glass, broken china and peacock feathers for the background, and copic's to colour my critters Fox - YR 21,23,24,27 W00,1 Squirrel E30,34,37,W3 , 1 00 and the Deer E30,31,33,55,57.
I added some Frosted Lace stickles on the hills, tree, and snowflakes, although you probably can't see that at all. The little shaky flakes are from my Daughter's craft stash, shhh she doesn't know yet, I am not sure where she got them. A little touch of white ribbon and simple sentiment along the bottom and that finished off my card.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, thanks for visiting me.

CAS Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a card to show you and this card practically had a mind of it's own lol! I started with my CC Designs Swiss Pixie and coloured her with copic markers and prisma pencils, then I thought she seemed just floating there on the paper. So I grabbed some X press it masking paper and created a mask for her and stamped the CC designs bench seat, added some more copic's for the seat and grass and sponged in some clouds for the sky. I added some clear wink of stella pen for her wings, pink glitter pen for the cupcakes and glossy accents for the cherry on top.
I cut her out with a stitched rectangle frame die, and also used the larger version for the gingham paper. Added a little ribbon and bow and that finished this sweet card.
Just a little close up and the inside.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges
7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog - #116 Anything Goes

Thanks for joining me today, reading your lovely comments makes my day!!! Thank you

Oh Happy Day + Storage Idea

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and your New Year is looking
bright & beautiful.
I have been thinking about this card idea for a while, but with Christmas cards to make it got put on the back burner. I adore the little rabbits in the Lawn Fawn Snow Day stamp set and always thought they should be playing in the grass, and this is what I came up with....
I used distress inks for the sky background, ( I will list products used at the end of the post ) I didn't have a hot air balloon stamp, but I had a die so cut it out of white cardstock and used a copic liner pen to define the sections and coloured with copic markers, I thought it looked a bit flat, so I used some colorless blender solution on a paper towel and just pushed it on the balloon part to give it some texture. The clouds are die cut then dry embossed. I used some hillside borders and grass dies from Lawn Fawn. The bunnies and tree are also coloured with copic's, and the little flowers are stamped with a tiny coloured rhinestone for the centre. The pumpkin pie chevron ribbon just to finish off this card is 5" x 7".
I added this stamped sentiment to the inside, I thought it suited the card perfectly.

Well I hope you are still with me as I have a really quick storage idea for 6" x 6" paper pads. I don't
know about you but I want to use every little bit of designer paper that I can, and I don't want to waste any, recently I bought the Lawn Fawn Snow Day paper pad for my Christmas cards, tags and goodie bags and I had a lot of little bits left over, they were too good to throw away and I wanted to
keep them all together, the light bulb went off ( lol ). I got a zip lock sandwich bag and it fit perfectly.

The bag measures 18cm x 17cm , or 7 1/8" x 6 5/8" they zip lock you can write on them and they are cheap, so I thought I would share this idea in case anyone else has the same problem.
Whew !!! that was a long post, thank you for visiting me, and I hope you all have a lovely day.
